Liz,

Its been a year since we visited your yard (by chance!) and brought Ollie (Orlando) home for Sophie.  Two youngsters together – they have both grown, trained and matured and they are now starting to compete.  We are taking it slowly as we don’t want to overcook things!  However every time out Sophie and Ollie have been placed.  We did ask someone to ride him at BYEH as a 4 year old last year and he came 2nd!! Sadly there were only 15 forward and we didn’t qualify – there were 16 entered in the catalogue so we missed it by one! We continued with dressage through the winter locally and came home with 1sts and 2nds.  Following fantastic support from Susie ‘G’ we came home with a win at Pony Club ODE.  Oli has then competed in two BE events 90 and 100 and came 5th in both.  We have recently returned from a clinic at Somerford with Susie G and Peter Laidlaw – thought you may like to see some photos attached.  We are so delighted with Ollie – he is a dream to handle and ride and a real softy – we are hoping to continue his success later this year and continue fully with BE next year.  We are off to another ODE tomorrow – thank you for the opportunity to have such a superstar – he has been admired by many wherever we go!

Congratulations to Lottie and Adorijke for finishing 5th out of 52 at Badminton in the BE 100 Champs. ‘Wizzy’ was of only 3 , 6 year olds to compete at htis level and now in the top .5% in the country for that level. Wiz finished on his dressage score of 29.8 !!

Lottie bought this horse off us as a 4 year old and has produced him by herself.

Lottie is currently looking for a sponsor . We think this is a good opportunity to share in this exciting sport of eventing with a talented rider obviously able of producing young horses to a high standard.

wiz has just qualified for the pre novice finals at Badminton next year - only 5 yr old in his section !!!!

Hi Liz,

As promised photos of wizz attached, he really is being a superstar and has exceeded all expectations of him this year! he’s just got the 5yo champs on the 30th, up against all the big wigs of eventing so that’s a bit daunting but he’s going so well, he’s a xc machine and leaps out the start box so excited!
I’ve just registered him with BD for the winter so once he’s back off his hols he’s off to be a dressage pony for a bit along with trailblazers jumping i think- can’t afford BS and BD and we have so many trailblazers stuff just down the road from uni. Tango is also being a star, phili my sister has taken him to Hartpury with her where he’s apparently got a fan club already and has settled in immediately.

Hope all is well for you… i’ll be back in the market for another 4yo come spring time next year so if you have any more wizzy’s coming give me a shout after xmas!

Speak soon

Hi Liz

Not seen you for ages so just thought i’d drop you a line to let you know how Sam’s been going on (can you believe it’s 5 years next month that i’ve had him!). Attached are 2 photos from Cheshire Show this week where he came 3rd in the Ridden Coloured. He has qualified for CHAPS ridden class again this year (3rd year running) and at CHAPS last year he just missed out on the evening performance in the Novice dressage and was placed in Prelim too. He is still doing well at BD and we are just about to start doing some Elementary tests.

We have also had loads of fun round farm rides and he squeals the whole way round, he loves it.

Hope you and Paul are ok, I must bob down with Chris Dillon at some point to look at the new yard.

(Also attached is a pic my friend took of him last year which is just gorgeous!!).

Love

Laura
